Holly Fulton SS’12
by Adam the Editor
Holly Fulton fails to disappoint. Her SS’12 collection had it all… Signature art deco geometric prints, acid brights, palazzo pants, feathered flapper-esque dresses, statement accessories and bling embellishments.
The show notes told us that her lady “having blown her annual budget takes a vacation a little closer to home. In full holiday spirit and dressed for Vegas – she hits Margate”. Not sure how these looks would actually go down in Margate but nonetheless they lived up to my personal expectations.
The colours popped as usual. Lemon yellow, turquoise and bright coral balanced nicely with monochrome, pastels and zebra. Dresses ended above the knee whilst trousers were flared and floor-length. The Christian Louboutin mule/clog-ish heels were equally cool and worked well with the RTW pieces.
The soundtrack thumped. The models walked perfectly to the beat. I honestly don’t have words to describe how much I loved this show. I think Holly has really found her niche and should stick at it for the seasons to come. The only thing I would like to say to Holly is this: please please PLEASE create a men’s line. I would buy every piece if you did!
