Industrie Magazine – Issue No.3

by Adam the Editor

INDUSTRIE Magazine is a definite force to be reckoned with. Published by Erik Torstensson and Jens Grede with Murray Healy editing; the magazine is coming up to its third issue now. INDUSTRIE has been well-received in an industry which is known for being fickle and faddy.

I think the reason the magazine has done so well is purely down to its content. It is not rammed full of editorial or product placement. Instead, it contains in-depth interviews with some of the leading and most influential names within the fashion industry.

Issue No.1 provided a great introduction to this world of mystique including interviews with Karl Templer, Katie Grand, Panos Yiapanis, Marie-Amélie Sauvé, Natalie Massenet, Luis Venegas, Tom Florio, Patrick Demarchelier and Jan Nord. The magazine also ran a feature on the R-T-W archive of Paco Rabanne and a sexed-up shoot shot by Demarchelier starring Lara Stone and Daria Werbowy.

Issue No.2 took a slightly more controversial and daring step by running an editorial feature starring Marc Jacobs, styled by Katie Grand, wearing Marc Jacobs archive womenswear. The magazine also featured a list of ‘The New Creative Establishment’ as well as interviews with Miguel Adrover, Ivan Bart, Didier Grumbach, Floriane de Saint Pierre, Fabien Baron and Rodarte. There was also a well-executed piece on ‘Where Is The Next Armani?’.

Issue No.3 looks set to be the best yet. Featuring Mert & Marcus on the cover (shot by themselves), the magazine is available from 9th May and I can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on a copy!
