Gareth Pugh AW’11

by Adam the Editor

Sci-fi seems to be a recurring theme for Gareth Pugh and he executes it well. His designs are extremely conceptual and very non-commercial. Structuring and panelling is also a prominent design feature. Fabric choices include leather, silk and quite possibly neoprene.

For AW’11 Pugh has stuck to a mainly black colour palette with a few vivid blue pieces thrown in to spice it up. The best was saved for last with a medley of gold, encrusted pieces that looked almost mythical and warrior-esque.

Quite the norm for Pugh but a definite departure from the usual trends showcased in Paris.
